Class Information

Text Box: Puppy class can have a powerful effect on your dog’s future behavior. Sunshine School helps pups make friends with several other puppies, get acquainted with new people and enjoy interesting objects and activities. They learn good manners as well as obedience.
Learning to communicate with your Puppy or dog includes:
Manners
Sit, down, paying attention, walking on a loose leash, coming when called
Socialization with dogs as well as people, men, women and children
Beginning Agility

Begin training right away. Puppies can learn so much while they are young and eager to enjoy discovering new things. Puppies may begin class when they’re between 2 and 4 months old. Kindergarten will help you teach your puppy in a gentle, pleasurable way. For everyone’s safety, classes are conducted in private buildings and grounds.

Kindergarten Class

Puppies between 2 and 4 of age

Text Box: Teenage puppy class (for pups between 5 and 12 months) helps owners establish loving relationships—before puppies become juvenile delinquents! 
Your puppy will learn to listen to you and follow your directions. 
Small individual classes are offered in a fenced and private yard. We’ll be firm, but gentle while the dogs learn obedience on their way to becoming fun-loving, self-controlled good citizens.

Dogs between 5 and 12 Months of age 
Text Box: The purpose of the CGC Program is to ensure that, your dog can be a respected member of the community, trained to act mannerly in the home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. 
This program is an excellent preparation for you and your companion to become a Therapy Dog Team and bring solaced and Joy to people in hospitals and nursing homes.

Dogs 6 months and older
Text Box: If you cannot get to a class or prefer training in your home, Private Sessions are arranged by appointment.
Gentle methods are used to transform frustrating puppies or difficult adult dogs into cooperative happy pets.

8 weeks to 16 weeks of age
This special sensitive period for learning is the best opportunity we have to influence behavior for our dogs and the most important and longest lasting part of a total wellness plan.
Foundation behaviors include:
Socialize properly with other dogs and people.
Sensible house training
Appropriate use of mouth
Accepting Handling
Sharing
Sit, down, stay, walking on a loose leash, coming when called.

CONTINUING EDUCATION TO ENRICH YOUR DOG'S MIND
Behaviors just for fun for Dog's who have had Puppy Kindergarten.   Important for the enrichment of your dog's mind, body and confidence..

Retrieve objects
Retrieve objects over a jump
Moving stand
Jump through a hoop
Learn hand signals for sit, down and recall
Spin to the right and left
Roll over
Settle
"Clean up" put toys in a basket on cue
